Why Is There Hate?
To some it appears a real solution to abuse.
To others it seeps in when all other solutions are just excuses.
To some it comes as natural as breathing -
Their response to another's evil seething.
Maybe it's born in some out of an empty desperation
When the perpetrator has attempted to destroy, and in desolation
It seems the only emotion that they can summon forth -
To preserve their sense of self and importance and worth.
To the best of my understanding, it is just a human reaction
To being demeaned and ridiculed in an effort to create distraction
So you will be suddenly made to believe that you are less
Than you know you really are, but this you'll never hear confessed.
Hate, even when used as what appears to be constructive,
As a natural reaction to preserve our dignity and carry us through,
We need to be aware when that crisis has passed we must reassess!
For hate can destroy you, same as the perpetrator. Let your quest
Be survival and not revenge. Your real survival
Depends on facing truth and then you see the arrival
Of a fundamental understanding of how futile hate can really be.
Never let it become a permanent answer. This will set you free!
