Where The Spirit Dances Free

When you smile I detect a twinkling in your dancing eyes;
Reminds me of a sunny day with glorious golden skies.
Often these displays of joyful living depart with youth.
The quest of physical survival diminishes our natural joy in truth.

If we could only accept the facts of life and still keep our joyful and loving "pure gold" -
That was so uncomplicated and filled with that original freedom of soul -
To witness this bubbling laughter, sparkling like fireworks in the evening sky -
We would feel the joy of spirit dancing - sweet and free that need not ever die.
