Where Are The Other Nine?

I can just see Jesus standing there on that wonderful day
When He healed the ten lepers. He never asked for pay.
He gave His healing blessing and they suddenly were free.
There was no big fanfare or even an asking fee.

But despite this most precious gift of all
That gave them back their lives, their shame and pain all recalled
Can you tell me why only one responded with joy and praise
To thank their Savior at this moment, now and always?

It truly seems so insensitive and ungrateful you just wonder
Did they not appreciate the gift at all or was it just that they were fonder
Of the gift than the giver? The earth still harbors this ungrateful kind
And Jesus is still asking, "Where are the other nine"?
