When You Diminish Others

We have all witnessed or experienced, as we travel on our way,
The offensive behavior of those who perpetually attempt to convey
This blatant self serving assumption that all the world out there
Is far beneath them on every plane of existence, anywhere.

Have you ever wondered how they arrived at this conclusion?
Reality doesn't seem to enter into this fixation which is totally pure illusion.
It usually presents a personality who displays the traits of fear and insecurity -
Not daring to be themselves for fear they may fade into obscurity.

This illogical reasoning obviously defies any clarification.
Rationale would only fall on deaf ears denying any rational presentation.
Simply stated, those who customarily diminish others to elevate themselves
Can only understand what the end results portray to them.
