When My Wall Clock Chimes

I hear that lovely tune and I know just about which hour
Is announcing itself. Such cheery chimes - it cheers me for the next hour.
To me, there is something special about this wall clock.
It makes me feel that as long as it chimes time will not stop.

Just a feeling of perpetual security. All in my heart and head.
But "whatever works to secure my place...." Like I said,
That chime calls out to me every sixty minutes, day and night
As long as it sings to me, I know my world is going to be all right.
