Truth Will Bring Reality

No matter what results truth may bring, it does present a reality, I have observed,
And the reality is not always one you earned or deserved.
There are side effects when hidden truths are revealed.
My truth and yours may reflect our versions of what's real.

This is the eternal conflict in this life. We all know basic truth,
But it's in the converging edges that we start to introduce
Our personal truth and its relationship with our truth.
Even in our legal system, we go through a mess of mixed opinions, so "truth"

Gets trampled, and innocent people suffer. Guilty ones go free,
And we say, in all fairness, that's the best we can do. So you see
Why truth gets abused and lies abound. That's our legal minds
Trying each to prove their point, and hoping and praying for a divine sign.
