This Side of Heaven

This side of heaven is all we know right now.
We've been given some rather vivid descriptions of how
Our home up there will be. "In my Father's house are many mansions," we are told
From Jesus' words of promise ages, many ages, old.

I choose to believe exactly what He said, 'cause I know
As He said, "If it were not true, I would have told you." So
I believe! It is the most important promise He ever gave mankind,
And I'm so thankful. It sustains through many toils. No greater solace can I find.
