This Desire Is An Inborn Gift

A runner can visualize herself, flashing through the air, flowing like molten lead.
That is some innate urging that fills a need that lingers in her heart and head.
There is an inborn expression begging to be heard. If you ask her why
Her particular choice was made, she may not really know the "why!"

A singer feels the words and song rising up to spill out over the world -
It spills over from the soul in its luminescence glowing like a pearl!
This comes as naturally as breathing the breath of our earthly life -
Coming forth as floating tendrils, extensions of glowing light!

As a poet, I feel the words flowing out and grab a pen and start to write.
I wasn't given a singing voice but I try to make music of the words that I write.
If the words can strike a note of harmony within my reader's mind, then I still
Will have communicated the feelings that are spilling over and that always will.
