This Day Will Not Be Back Again

How many days of our young adulthood can we remember
Making this pronouncement at any given occasion? The time extender
Was still in place, way back then. This same day will last forever,
And life will always be full and running over. The word "never"

Hasn't ever been recognized yet. When you're young, you will always
Be young. How could you ever be old? Not in your lifetime days.
That's the land of the young. We've all been there, but we did not stay.
Oh how sad when we're compelled to acknowledge that day, in every way.
