They're Happy Being Miserable

We all know about this malady and we all know at least one.
You do wonder about this contradiction in terms and you wonder how it's done.
Well! It ain't easy, and if you asked them this question, they'd deny
One or the other because they really have no earthly idea why.

I think perhaps, only observers of this state of being
Can clearly see the paradox and understand the unknown seeing
Of the total picture painted here that even the painter can not see.
Those who enjoy this had better relish... it's as close to happiness as they'll ever be.
