There's Something About

In our daily chores of life there are certain duties that must be done.
We try to start early on when we first see that golden sun
Approach our day. Our "early start" is quite rewarding - we feel
We're a bit ahead of the game and that is indeed a plus deal.

As long as we're ahead of the game, we feel so in control
As we unfold our long list of duties on our daily scroll.
When I could hang my laundry out to dry and have my tryst with the outdoors,
Or weed the flowerbed and observe how the lovely flower grows,

A trip to the mailbox by the road and the U.P.S man bringing
Our anticipated "goodies"! These heart-warming joys keep us singing.
So simple - yet so fulfilling - like we're in touch with all mankind.
Communicating with life, leaving the everyday cares behind.
