The World Needs Heroes

We do not acknowledge heroes the way we did so long ago.
Everything seems so miraculous, nowadays, it requires more to reach that goal.
I suppose each person has degrees of what they classify as "hero,"
But a hero is a hero and life is looking for them, more and more.

Life and circumstances change all the time, but the basics remain much the same.
The true value is ever there for each brave hero to claim.
The universal definition of a hero is one who goes that extra mile
To help his fellow man, or save someone's life. This quality never goes out of style.

Have you ever reflected on this situation? Heroes do not seek recognition.
They do not see themselves as all that special, just doing a necessary rendition.
Just a routine task that life presented on that day.
Doing what needed to be done, carrying them through to their very last day.
