The Trouble with Peanuts

It's a universal complaint. You can't stop eating them, and one
Peanut is never enough. There is a magic to this ancient fun
That makes a jar of peanuts disappear kinda like a magic act.
This is recorded on everybody's record - that's a fact.

I love them boiled, parched, hulled, hot and salted, in bags,
I love them raw, right out of the ground. Man! These are basic food - in bucket or bag.
Is there anyone who hates peanuts? I never heard of them.
I'm just so sorry for them, for they've lost a chunk of joy unknown to them.

Someday, if you're feeling down, grab a bag of peanuts and relax,
Settle down, prop your feet and then you will understand those facts.
It brings a soothing comfort and memories of younger days.
Peanuts - always be there - so indulge in the pleasure of those childhood days.
