The Saddest Words

I honestly feel that "goodbye" is among the saddest words
That are ever spoken in this life, in this world.
The saddest is when we lose a loved one; they leave such an empty place,
Which no one else on earth could possibly ever replace.

Such an emptiness comes over you, and you feel in your heart
That life will never be the same again. You know not where to start
To continue life without them. Without hope of seeing them again,
I doubt we could ever survive that empty, empty pain.
