The Ones Who Have No Say

When a child's young life is fragmented by broken family ties
There's a lot more damage than we are likely to realize.
Life shattered and scattered, marring the natural splendor
Of this fragile work of art so precious and so tender.

Hopefully, there'll be a loving influence to intervene,
To attempt to reinstate a semblance of family love and self esteem.
This would be a welcome answer for a confused little child. To console
And offer love and hope to restore a tiny hurting soul.
