The Nobility of Your Soul

Some day in our lives we become acutely aware of that soul
That lives within each body. From that time forward we shall hold
This body for this sojourn. Whatever the route laid out for this time,
We teach our body to respect and protect our inner soul. It it then we find

Our body leans towards earthy things and in flesh, selfishness;
We concern ourselves more with the flesh than the inside; we're less concerned
With out inner self. That's a statement of life on earth.
It kind of hangs on, naturally, from the day of entering earth.

It's only when we acquire wisdom that we get acquainted with our soul.
We eventually understand where all the lines are drawn, and when to hold,
And when to let go. Only after this introduction do we fully understand
Just who we are and why we are and what we're doing in this land.
