The Final Say

Just a flick of dust upon the air,
Just a pebble upon a beach somewhere,
We become a drop of water of the ocean wide,
A mere moment of existence where we abide.

Who is man that Thou are mindful of him?
And yet, man has survived catastrophes so grim
That man is alive on earth shows our determination;
And an example of how we survive our own instigations.

Where there is a will, we will find a way
To inhabit earth and prolong our earthly stay.
Self preservation is mighty in our attempt to stay,
But we know in our souls that God has the last say.
