The Evening Dusk

In the quiet, quiet time of the welcome evening dusk,
When reflections appear on the placid surface, I must
Evaluate the harried day and revel in the feeling
Of having survived another day of race track wheeling.

Not just survival but in honest review and evaluation
Of some valued lessons learned in daily education!
So, as I wind down and lay me down to peaceful sleep
My supplication reaches heaven, "Please, my soul do keep."
