The Empty, Empty Darkness

Why would anyone deliberately choose to lose?
Why would any human being abuse
Those who can not understand
The workings of the minds of those who can?

In the classroom of our darkened cavern-mind
They learn to hurt, torture and destroy anything good they can find.
In their classrooms of darkness they learn more ways to crush a soul
Than just a stranglehold upon the body that houses that soul.

In their devious and destructive minds they will devise
Crimes issuing forth from that dark place where only emptiness lies.
No love nor conscience dwells in this remote place,
So there is never regret nor sadness for crimes against the human race.

How sad to even state this situation in print for concern it may lend credence to this negative part of life, which actually is more a part of death and destruction. I prefer to dwell in positive levels where love and hope can be found.
