The Brief Deciding Second

How many times, how many people and how many places
Can bring to mind a critical decision when loved ones faced
A point of no return and no searched-for answer could be found?
There are many times along the way - decisions made without a sound.

Youth is a very vulnerable time simply because they have no clue nor do they know
What it is that's requiring such an answer that evades and they do not know.
A life can be lost in one brief second - as we were on our hurried and desperate way
To somewhere we thought was a lighted and so-promising way.
