The Bridge Across
Which bridge did you build and which bridge did you cross?
Remember the ones you chose to burn? Which was the greater cost?
It requires a lot of experience to make wise choices
Where this anomaly is a given prerogative requiring more than just your voice,
But a conviction of the value of each bridge as it connects all mankind.
Each one serves an appropriate connector from one experience to another. We find
That is what bridges are. They cross over the place we can not walk
And they convey words where language barriers block our talk.
However you choose to deal with the needed bridges in your life,
Don't forget, each one serves, in various ways, to even out your life.
So let your lessons be your guide, offering wisdom as you often decide
Which to cross and which to burn and which to build across the chasm wide.
