The 'Magic'

We pick up various definitions of this magic word.
In our younger years, it is the most treasured word
We ever heard! It seems to exemplify all impossible things
Which give our imagination free reign, and our dreams all take wings.

"Magic" has some extra power that worked miracles and caused
Impossible events to move in unknown ways by unknown laws.
We may not have been able to put it into words when we were small,
We just knew by faith alone that magic meant we'd likely find it all

Underneath our Christmas tree. We weren't concerned how it happened,
Just as long as we could keep believing it would happen.
Now that's faith and that's magic, all woven into one.
And I'm here to tell you, I have, for all my life, seen it done.
