Tell Me

Tell me, have you ever looked into another's eyes
And seen the cycle of time and events passing there as time flies?
Have you seen the sorrow of this life deep within their soul
That has been purged and maybe never even told?

Every person carries a life story in their soul reflecting through their eyes
Of the gladness and the sadness lingering there all their lives.
How perceptive are your senses to recognize their story
When there are chapters of their tears without any glory?

We can't rewrite anyone's already written biography nor need we try,
But even a meaningful cognizance of the facts with no question "Why?"
May equalize the load just to know someone dares
To care about what life has offered them. A gift - that someone cares!
