Sorting Out

We spend a good bit of our time on earth just sorting through
The good and the bad, the fake and the real, before we can do
Waht it was we were trying to do. And sometimes then you
Can't get to the bottom of the deal to really know who

Is doing what to whom. Are they for real or just a quack?
When we first start out we have more faith and accept word as fact.
That phase is short-lived, and sometimes expensive.
We just trust we'll get through it with no damage very comprehensive.

It's a basic fact of life like sorting out the laundry or choosing
Basic foods to eat. Every day we are deciding which is what, without losing
Our mind completely. As we grow older we know quite well
About the daily choices; it's the unexpected ones where we tripped and fell.
