Somewhere Up There

Somewhere up there an airplane made its way
Across the heavens in quiet sojourn. Some slept, others would likely pray.
'Twas a muted and dignified company whose paths crossed for a short while.
The silence spread upon the scene. Each respectful to not defile.

Somewhere up there a small child's voice sounded sure and clear,
"Are we as high as we'll be?" No hint of any fear.
His guardian was reassuring when suddenly, in reverence, with no guile,
He inquired, "Do you think we could stop by and visit God for just a little while?"
