Some Special Ones Never Really Go Away

I do so enjoy seeing shows with some of our "favorites" of long ago.
We have them back for this short while, as if they never left. We miss them so!
And each one will never be duplicated ever again - we each are unique.
I wonder if any of us fully realize, in this life, how unique we are and what we really seek.

We never lose sight of those we loved and admired who gave us so much
So freely and so willingly - be it acting, music or just the common touch.
God blesses us with special ones throughout our days here on earth -
Actually for most of us, from the very beginning, at our birth.

So we travel on alone when our favorite ones depart and we hold them in our heart
To treasure always and appreciate having known them as an intricate part.
Some we are so privileged to have known and we will always know
Them to be there in spirit even after they have gone.
