Some Chores Are Never Finished

"Homemakers" and "caretakers" can understand this more than some,
Depending on who you are and where you're coming from and what drum
Your heart beats to. Unless your heart is in your work,
The everyday chores become automatic, and boredom may inflict real hurt.

Some everyday chores can become unbearably boring and diminish. Chores can be
So repetitive, the value of your efforts are not always visible for all to see.
I can go down a list of the boringest. and I can see more than half the world
Saying, "Yeah, yeah, yeah." It's a fact of life and seems so empty and sterile.

It's not that these chores are unimportant or that you want to shirk
Your responsibility. I think the monotony of the repetition is the hardest work.
If we could only get a break from the "same old" to do something different and fun,
We would be refreshed to take up where we left off, and finish the daily run.
