Reflections Of A Mother

If I never break your spirit my precious child,
I hope, in our journey of many miles,
You'll never, ever feel the need to crush my soul
To rectify the hurt you feel in your own soul.

Only in perfection will we achieve this noble goal,
But as I strive in daily life, may I just gently fold
You close against my overflowing heart
To feel the love for you flowing to your heart.

No force in this magnificent universe
Is greater than the force of love. It is first
In all of God's great commandments and all He made.
This bond of love is forever being conveyed.

May you grow in the awareness of this all pervasive force
And let it be, as long as you live, your source
Of life and destiny. Then I will rejoice for your life
And the small part I had in imparting this understanding to your life.
