Parenthood Is Not All Glory

This may be second hand information coming at you now,
But there are ones just entering the arena of parenthood, and how
And why, they have no clue. Babies are the most precious part
Of or life, but if you've had very little experience, you may be a worry wart.

It's unmarked territory with so much to do and so much to learn,
You're never sure if you're being overly and unduly concerned.
As they become toddlers you become a small version of Tarzan.
You cannot read their emotions and you cannot understand their jargon.

YOu find them accomplishing feats you never dreamed they were capable.
You have to guard them day and night; it's nerve wracking, but also laughable.
Like when you take your eyes off them for one minute, and they're climbing a ladder
To the roof of the house. Just a day in the life of a boy who saw a ladder.
