No Two The Same

One of the hardest things in life to learn
Is "no two of us are the same" and for some, a great concern.
Our own offspring we like to envision as duplicates of us.
Mistake number "one". These are individual souls whom we really must

Let them be themselves as they relate to life. We can
And should do our part to direct their values and give a hand
As life presents them their own set of plans.
That's the toughest part, to let them choose - you understand.

They'll make unwise choices, just like all of us,
But teach them the understanding and coping skills that they must
Have to deal with the results of choices they have made,
And sometimes even choices that others have made.

Their body is our contribution to this soul's journey
And our teaching of true love and a love of learning,
But their soul was born of God and is His, always.
Let them hear from you the real partnership for this journey's days.
