My "Coming Out" Occasion

I'll make this party brief 'cause as my part went, it was brief.
It was a family reunion, and kin from everywhere were there. What a relief.
The whole family would get to witness my greatest day
When I wore my finest high heels with ladies' hose. That was my day!

You ladies reading this, I'm sure you will never forget this day.
You know you were acknowledged now as all grown up - the happiest day
You'd probably ever seen, and wouldn't match if or quite a while again.
I was "sweet sixteen" and believe me, that will never be again.
