Like I Said

"Well Sol! It's like I said. You remember what I said?
I do hope you remember cause it's done left my head."
But I do remember it was some earth shaking information.
That is exactly why you grab a pen and pad when you feel the inspiration.

Now, so far, this is the gap between "I don't remember
And the explanation of why it left my head." It is now December
And I haven't seen that inspiration since way last May.
It disappeared without a trace and I, yet, have not a word to say.

But like almost all inspiring thoughts, it will surface again.
Your conscious mind then grabs and searches even to the edge of pain.
You can't quite grasp the original concept but you keep on keeping on
Until you find a reasonable facsimile that till now these actual words were unknown.

So, good friend, Sol, I'll fill you in if and ever when
That earth shaking presentation presents itself to me again.
If it was something I was to tell, and I believe it was,
It will come again to me and I will share. Those are the "creative laws."
