Life's Unseen

We are visual beings and so much of life is the "seen."
It gives us the ability to deal with reality. The unseen
Enters awareness as we progress and understand
That there's another whole part of life in this earthly land

Which is equally as important as the world that we see.
When we think of the consequences of the unseen, then we
Begin to correlate the two realities with which we need to deal
To live our lives successfully and not invite the unseen to steal

What we're attempting to build. It's very difficult to foresee
The invisible, but there are visible warnings that will be.
We see the storm clouds before we feel the storm. The tremors before the quake,
The leanings of loved ones from love towards hate.

Then there is the coming together of forces in another place
That we have no knowledge of nor any warning that we need to face
So we can imagine all the worst scenarios and conclude emergency measures.
This is a basic reality to anticipate loss of our earthly treasures.

But moderation in dealing with and accepting the unseen
Is a safety net which we establish, like a fire escape that we may need.
But for the most part we live our daily lives dealing with the seen,
With character, faith and hope to deal with whatever is presented by the unseen.
