Keep On Keeping On

Have you ever reached that point in your life when it seemed
Like all that was left for you was to keep on keeping on?
It is a futile feeling like a dead-end with no real choice
Of any practical action, and if you spoke no one would hear your voice.

If you have escaped this day, then count your blessings and pray
That you will never reach this place in your life on any day.
It is only natural we need to feel we are progressing and moving on,
Not stuck in an echo chamber where all you can hear is you alone.

When and if these times overtake you, the most practical thing you can do
Is immediately count your blessings, even if you can only think of one or two.
Just the fact you are alive with some chance to survive
Usually will suffice, and don't forget about those you love who are alive.
