Just a Cup of Courage

Most people feel a pull to that cup of "courage." We're not cowards. We just
Feel like a little push might help. We feel thwarted. We must
Get our act together and forward march, maybe even a faster pace
Wouldn't hurt. I've never considered myself addicted - like I can't operate or face

The hectic day without that cup. But it does cheer you up a bit
And sharpening up your ambition with an added dash of wit
Could make the difference in attitude of hope and good cheer,
Free of doubts and some unexplained nagging fear.

Unless you have some medical reason, I say, "Cheers for the cup!"
Friends can enjoy a cozy time together; good, hot Java and fancy cups
On a cold or rainy day, a huge mug and a long awaited book
Fill that special day without even a second look.
