When It All Comes Together

This is not one specific goal we seek to achieve; in fact, you'll find
It all comes together so normally, like natural actions of every kind.
Experiences of various blends present themselves, each one teaching
Us the things we need to know as we are ever searching and reaching.

One day the total accumulation forms a picture and it reveals
The itinerary that you never guessed was decreed.
Any work of art comes together as it's flowing to the canvas.
Talents and pictures that until now had lain hidden and languished

Unexpressed, and more ideas waiting for expression for the vision,
Being born in your creative mind. It was waiting for your decision
To prove it to the world. How rewarding when every brush is lying dormant,
And you've removed your painting tools and your paint splattered garment.

Our total lives are so much the same. One day we see the finished picture
As a synopsis of all we've experienced. Some felt like fiction.
Like so many others, we spend years putting it all together, with no idea
What the final picture will be. Drifting along with some wonder, some fear.

Maybe it takes longer for some than others, to get it all together.
Seems some encounter some serious detours and stormy weather,
But when the finished picture is left to dry, you know within your soul
That you now can express what it all meant. It's part of God's plan from ages old.

When you see the final stoke and you see the total completed scene,
You understand fully why that was the scene you had to glean
From the canvas of your life. Now you can share with all the earth
Your version of the essence of its meaning, including your entrance, your birth.
