Inside the Devious Mind

I'm gonna cut this one short because of my life's exposure to a devious mind.
These minds are so different from a normal person, who is an entirely different kind.
Devious is the operative word here. And if you've never met "devious," let me
Introduce you (if you meet it unexpectedly), it will not let you be.

Life is hard, even when devious leaves you alone,
But when you tangle with that, you are long gone.
How can you cope with something that's presented in such a way,
You have no idea if it is or isn't what one will say.

So you're dealing here with unknowns and a lot of deceit
That leaves you nowhere and feeling vengeful, lost and incomplete.
While all this is transpiring, Old Devious over there is enjoying
Your muddled reaction to the games they are employing.
