In Order of Importance

If you are a person of renown and have reached a degree of fame,
Your life will be summed up as a biography mentioning your name.
If you are, however, just a plain Jane or a plain ol' Joe
That not a lot of people on this earth will likely know,

Then you might receive a casual mention as an unrecognized lifescape.
If you're not familiar with that term, it's just a fragment of the landscape.
Well, at least, you may get recognized as having been here at some time.
I'm thankful that earth, alone, doesn't decide our total value for this brief time.
