In And Out Of Control

This could be a lengthy poem but I will truly attempt to make
The overall concept explain the route that so many take.
We admire people we deem in control, for they appear so strong.
They seem to have a mental divider between what we see as right or wrong.

We try to avoid those who feel it is their earthly right
To control everything and everyone even if it involves a fight.
People who are in control of their own lives and fate
Deeply resent these self appointed ones who try to dominate.

Their motto is to "live and let live" so do not interfere; they need you not.
But if you notice more closely this controlling eventually reveals just what
And how his need to control others, at any expense, seems to be a real obsession.
It becomes so obvious one day and you realize, eventually and without question.

Why do controlling people find it so readily necessary
To control everyone else's life when it is so unnecessary.
The crux of this analysis is so simple - it evades evaluation -
It's so much easier to try to control others - than themselves. Their education

Is lying in wait - just beyond the gate. When they eventually understand
Their own life and behavior was the one they could not understand.
It's a bit late to start to learn to use that misguided control
To guide and improve their own life - that will take "all" their control.
