If You Are Good and Kind...

You know who you are. You could never hurt anyone,
Not intentionally. You just naturally love life and most everyone.
That is just your nature, and no conscious effort has to be made,
For it flows from your heart, not looking for accolades.

You also just naturally expect others to love you - why not?
If you fit this description, no doubt you learned early on "Life ain't what I thought."
I truly do not think that negative ones ever even wonder why.
It really doesn't even matter. They undoubtedly have a quota to reach before they die.

In each case, it all seems to flow from the heart;
What we humans call just naturally an innate part
Of who we really are. In the good, there's no deception.
In the negative, there's mostly hurt, with hardly an exception.

If you are a positive person, you have become keenly aware of the damage out there
Being hurled in myriad directions. YOu are acutely and carefully aware
That most negative ones would just relish wiping that smile from your face.
We may never know or understand how they became so negative in the first place.

I just sum it up as: we are all a product of what we chose
In our response to life. Neither of us will ever understand those
Who reason so differently than we. In my book, it truly seems
The positive approach is the road to a good life, where we still can dream dreams.
