I See So Clearly Now
I see so clearly now what I could never see before.
Is this the way our toughest lessons come - didn't even know it?
Then we get so bogged down in this deep boggy mire
We spend all our time just treading mud to even stay alive.
When you're preoccupied with mere survival
You find scant time to even analyze all the antics and conniving.
And, of course, that is the favorite method that blinds and entraps,
Sprinkled over with sweet words and glitter, masquerading, perhaps
As someone who is going to great lengths, taking proper care of you
And, if you had "brain one" you'd understand just who was who.
If you see some similarities here, you finally see the light and how
To analyze your situation, saying, without doubt, "I see so clearly now."
