I Love The Little Trees, Also
Most of us who love trees understand about those "little trees."
We treasure all of nature's gifts and we aren't hard to please
About the different ones. We find beauty in every type and size,
Each offering its own special beauty against the expanse of skies.
Throughout my life I've appreciated these special friends
And often pondered who left this gift for me. To them I send
A special "Thank You" for this treasure they passed on to me,
And thank you God for my precious vision that I am blessed "to see."
These friends are so versatile. In the Spring, they don their bright green dresses,
Some loaded with blossoms of every color and a fragrance blessed
Of heaven. Summer glides right in, they share their shade and cooling breeze.
And before they retire for the winter, the final grand show they seize
To splash their finery of every shade of yellow, orange, red and brown
Before they fling their finery to the autumn wind and to the ground.
We pick their fruits and nuts to enjoy for many days, long, long past
The joy of Autumn. We'll wait with patience for Spring again when winter's passed.
