I Do Wonder Why
I always have pondered the "why" of everything. I guess I feel
If I understand the reason for any of life's continuous deals,
It will comfort me in some way or enhance the lesson learned,
Even when I complain loudly about this "mess" I never earned.
Most of us spend about half our life trying to improve and the other half
Just trying to figure out the "how" and the "why." That's life's great laugh.
We have to have a reason - or at least an excuse to attempt to explain
Life's dirty tricks that we feel we did not earn. Are we reaping some other's pain?
We never, hardly ever, find all the answers 'cause there is no logic
In this imperfect world. We do our best and also do a lot of dodging,
Trying to avoid trouble and conflict, and yet still find some joy at least,
'Cause God meant for us to enjoy along the way His love and life's feast.
