I Close My Eyes And Bow My Head

Periodically, these words from long ago flash through my mind.
I relive those words so often, even now, today and I find
The simple faith of that small child that closed her eyes and bowed her head
To thank our heavenly Father for each share of daily bread.

I became aware from earliest memory to give thanks for everything.
It started when I was asked to give thanks for our food. As my blessing took wings -
I felt, even as a child, so fulfilled for having said "Thanks" to our Source
Who is our loving Father, who will ever be our total and complete earthly source.
