How 'Stupid' Is Stupid

How Stupid Is 'Stupid'?

No doubt there have been incidents along the way
That prompted some unsolicited criticism that was hurled your way!
Looking back, it may have seemed warranted, but just the same
Need not have been hurled, attached to your good name.

Most of us have made some thoughtless and careless choices
At some time in our life, and age is no factor. We lower our voices
When we go there in our memory and maybe silently admit
That on that particular occasion we were not in complete control of our wit.

Have you ever noticed in honest "hindsight" evaluation
That when we are the ones to analyze, we simply describe it as "education".
That is probably because we view it without contempt
Where some others were only tearing down a "stupid wimp".

There is a whole lot of difference! And why would "stupid" be used with "wimp"? Not every "so-called" wimp is stupid, and not every accused "stupid" is a "wimp". Maybe just a double whammy! Since most everyone is so slandered at some point in our lives, maybe we could end the cycle by keeping our "stupid" thoughts to ourselves.
