Hello Autumn, Goodbye Summer
I do believe that summer and winter, the extremes of hot and cold,
Are the seasons we're most ready to see to go. I'm told
That spring and autumn are the most poetic times when beauty invades
Every atom of our world. All mankind bows with a heart of praise
Life offers extremes in may areas of our lives, not always within our control.
We more or less cope with the unpleasant events of too hot, too cold,
Or whatever other situations that ordinary life very often presents.
All we can offer is "it's out of our domain," our only consoling defense.
We learn eventually to tolerate the "less-thans" and anticipate a better day.
There are no guarantees as is always our final thing we say.
We accept what comes and just live for a more pleasant day.
To enjoy spring and autumn, we consider the extremes a smile price to pay.
