Each Role In Life

If we live long we eventually become acutely aware
That in this life we've many roles, some ordinary, some rare
That have surfaced to fulfill, whether by choice or circumstances.
It appears some seem destined to live a life enchanted,

But others face each new role with hope that it will be
Easier and better than the previous one, but must wait to see
What the days bring forth, and pray for strength
To see it through, whatever the challenge or the length.

For some there are segments from the cradle to the grave
And the roles become so complicated you will rant and rave.
But as a rule you acquiesce and accept it, whether chosen or given,
To do less would make your life less worth the living.
