Compatible

This is a word we've heard all our lives - long before we ever knew
Anything about what it meant or why or how. It did seem they were few!
Well, some people give it different names to coincide with how they define.
Some may consider it just always agreeing that everything is well and fine

You may have noticed, also, that most everyone was attempting, all the time,
To be so nice and accommodating to the "well heeled" - which was not considered a crime.
However, I did wonder out loud to myself why it appeared much easier
To find a "common ground" in dealing with some. Just seemed feasible!

I learned farther down that road just how many factors are involved.
There'll be some you have to tolerate for whatever reason. This won't resolve!
The basic qualifications for that search, we call compatibility - the need to fill your soul
With a force of "sameness" charging the atmosphere. A recognition ages old.

There is the kindness - a courtesy offered to those with whom we feel out of sync.
Because we all are who we are and the majority will not feel that electrical link.
To describe it in my own way - you will be very much aware just what wavelength
You both are operating on. It's a law of nature and will operate in its own strength.
