'Tis But A Reflection Of Your Soul

Words alone can say and proclaim many things,
But what gives credence and will ever really bring
Life and reality to these words is the force and intent
And the universal power expressing through the words you've sent.

Kind and gentle words can heal and restore a devastated life,
Can lift you up far above the vengeful strife,
Or like knives and fire, your angry and hateful words can cut and burn
Telling all that you haven't yet become aware of or ever even learned.

Haven't mentioned the destructive words of lies and deceit
Which will follow you all your life and live on to repeat
The damage you inflicted and that, somehow, you considered it great sport -
Something for which you'd never meet again or ever must report.

Words are spoken daily for many reasons throughout life.
They can convey sincere and worthwhile love or cut us like a knife.
They can be deceitful and not revealing what is being heard.
What's living in your soul will reveal what the real truth is, in your spoken words.
